Another must-see island in the Cape Verdean archipelago. Firstly, because it is the only way to get to the true green paradise of Santo Antão, but mainly because the island itself has so much to offer. Even if all you read about this island is the town of Mindelo (where 93% of the island’s population live), this island has so much more to offer! For me, this was one of the biggest surprises, where the diversity of the island, with the most beautiful Cape Verdean capital, the most beautiful Cape Verdean beach and the most amazing swimming pool I have seen so far, pushed this originally not so attractive island to the top of my subjective rating.
